The most recent tourist object of Kārsava city is the center of cultural history “Līču mājas”. It is a place where visitors can find out everything about the history of the Kārsava region from its beginnings to the present day. The small border city has three unique spiritual places- an orthodox church with its beautiful wooden architecture, two catholic churches which lay just a few meters apart, and the reviving Lutheran church next to “Līču mājas”. A few kilometers from Kārsava city is an old railway village- the first railway road in the Baltic states was established there.
