Between hills in Istra in the surroundings of the Nature Park there are several lakes with islands – Lake of Dziļezers, Lake of Audeļu and Lake of Istra. By the school in Vecslabada village there are sport grounds and a swimming place.
This beautiful territory is a part of Ezernieki protected landscapes. A wonderful panorama can be viewed from the tower on a castle mound.
Beaches are located on the shores of the Lake of Dziļezers (by the school) and the Lake of Audeļu (in the centre of Vecslabada village).
