New!
The 2.2-hectare Yoga Island is located in Lake Lielais Ludzas and belongs to the Yoga Life Latvia yoga studio and its founder, Olga Hodaseviča.
Yoga Island is a place where you can experience beautiful sunrises and sunsets. As you walk around the island, take a moment to stop, observe, listen, breathe in the scents of nature and reflect. This is a place with a strong, uplifting and restorative energy.
The island is intended for people who appreciate the value of silence, peace and love; for those who wish to devote time to themselves, reflect and find answers. It is a place for people who love and respect nature, who enjoy listening to birdsong and feeling a connection with the trees and surrounding landscape.
Whether you come alone, with someone close to you, with your family or with your dog, the island will reveal its distinctive natural beauty at its own pace.
Yoga Island is not intended for large or noisy groups. We highly respect the privacy of our guests and their wish to spend time on the island alone or only with their own companions. For this reason, please contact Olga by phone at +371 27877127 before planning your visit to Yoga Island. You will be informed about the days when the island is available to welcome visitors.
Getting to Yoga Island
Reaching the island and returning to the shore is an adventure in itself. Yoga Island is situated in the middle of Lake Lielais Ludzas and can only be reached by water during the warmer months or across the ice in winter.
There are times when weather conditions make visiting the island unsafe or unsuitable. Please always make sure that conditions are appropriate before setting out. Strong winds or thin ice are clear signs that a visit should be postponed.
You can reach Yoga Island using your own watercraft or the island’s wooden boat. To arrange use of the boat, please contact +371 27877127.
Water transport rental services are also available from “Atpūties Ludzā” by calling +371 26107725.
